Procedure for denial of PBS and Non-PBS services


The Authorizations area of EPS Delagente will inform you through the authorizations web application through which you carried out your authorization process, if your request for PBS and Non-PBS technologies was approved or not approved when the following causes arise:

Causes of non-approval for PBS services
  • Service excluded from the PBS Benefit Plan
  • Typing error
  • medical relevance
  • Service request error
  • Exceeds maximum amount indicated per service
  • Inconsistency in the user's affiliation status
  • Does not comply with INVIMA indication
  • repeat request
In the case of technologies not included in the PBS, the following grounds for non-addressing will apply:
  • Same request in another prescription
  • The indication for the use of the drug is not approved by INVIMA
  • There is evidence of drug interaction or reaction
  • Inconsistency in the user's affiliation status
  • deceased patient
  • INVIMA did not approve the vital medicine not available
  • Error in the registration of the prescriber and patient (they are the same)
  • Technology excluded from the PBS Benefit Plan
