More than 900 girls, boys and adolescents participated in awareness days on consumer rights and duties in Tuluá, Valle del Cauca
During April 5 and 6, 2022, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce SIC Educa Jr. sensitization sessions were held in Tuluá, Valle del Cauca for nearly 900 boys, girls and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 17.
With these meetings, the aim is to recognize the role of the consumer in the marketing chain, their duties and rights to be a responsible consumer from an early age and promote a critical sense of advertising aimed at the population of children and adolescents.
The awareness sessions were held in person at the Occidente, Corazón del Valle and María Antonia Ruíz Educational Institutions, through the alliance between the Comfenalco Valle Delagente Family Compensation Fund, the Secretary of Education of Tuluá and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce through its SIC Educa Jr.
“This opportunity was achieved through the articulation between our entities to strengthen knowledge on consumer protection, emphasizing their rights and duties, misleading advertising, among other issues. As a Family Compensation Fund, our purpose is also focused on contributing to the creation of spaces that contribute to the well-being of the community, organizing meetings like these days to promote learning”.
